Dream shoot, A happy child, amazing colours, bubbly work and a smashing cake. I have to say this cake smash was one of my favourite to date. The colours, set and style was amazing. The baby loved it, and so did we. He followed everything we asked of him, he loved the cake and enjoyed the bath. The shoot went on over an hour and half and he didn’t want it to end.

The mother had brought along a blanket her nan had knitted and really wanted it included in the shoot, she also brought along those amazing letters which I still use to this day. The set came out amazingly. The cake itself was to dye for, tasted absolutely delicious.

Those letters were hand made, and stood out in every shot. a perfect fit for the colour the mother had chosen for this little man.

This is one of the reasons why I love my job, not only because i give parents the ability to have shoots done like this at low prices. but to see children of all ages, all different backgrounds, shapes, styles look as happy as they do when I actually do the shoot. I have great feedback because of my patients, understanding and relaxing sets and I will cherish that with every shoot that I do.

Crying While Smashing

This little man joined us in the studio sometime ago, Id done a few cake smashes but never experienced one quite like this. This little man was absolutely brilliant with the first set but after that it got worse and worse.

He really wasn’t a fan of the cake smash, he was petrified of the cake, I’m not sure if it was the look taste or how it felt, but he didn’t want anything to do it with it. Both his parents were gutted, and none of us could believe the way he was reacting. We pushed on and tried to get enough photos to make the set and moved onto the splash shoot quite swiftly.

The editing process to this set was probably the most difficult, as I was learning this was great practice. I tried my absolute hardest to create such an enjoyable set and the parents were so pleased. Lucky I haven’t had a set quite like this but this is one that will always stand out to me and I can’t thank this little man enough.

Id like to introduce you to this bubbly, adorable, cute, funny and so sweet little Isabella, when her and her family arrived this little princess was fast asleep, and for anyone to be woken up and woken up in a strange place you’d kick off right or at least put up a fight, nope not this little bundle of joy first thing she wanted to do was give me a big hug. Now I’ve never met bella before but she just fitted right in, she’s the kind of baby that could put a smile on anyones face.

A couple of weeks ago her nan contacted me wanting a surprise cake smash shoot, she had it all planned. She thought she was so kunning and smart until she crumbled and brought Bellas mother along for the shoot and believe me her mother came prepared, I believe she brought her whole wardrobe. it made my day! with the cake smash you get three outfit changes, the normal shoot, cake smash and splash shoot, but i’d happily add in more outfits to one set if you couldn’t decide and everything little bella wore just flowed. Plus I’m a sucker for headbands.

This shoot was amazing it ran so smoothly from beginning to end, bella was amazing in front of the camera such a born natural. she was an absolute pleasure to have in the studio and her reactions to the mess on her hands has me smiling today. It normally takes me a few days to fully edit a set of photos but I had so much fun editing these I honestly can’t wait for them to receive their USB loaded with fun and bubble images of this precious baby girl.

This is the gorgeous louie he’s 19 months old and i’ve got to say such a little character, about a week ago his grandfather messaged me after seeing the cake smash offer and was interested in having the Splash scene only, I offered him the two sets, plus USB for £35 and he jumped at the chance. I found out on the day that he had been looking for this similar shoot for some time because Louies mother had one done when she was little and he was after something similar to one compare the both and also have the two contrast images on display.

The shoot started out great, he was friendly, confident, running around, playing he was an absolute delight, he’d toy with my emotions a lot by turning his back and smiling, beaming from ear to ear. he turn back to the camera with little cheeky smile, he really did know what he was doing. between the chasing the bubbles to throwing the balls he was having a great time, and so did we all.

Once the first shoot was over his Mam Amy decided to strip him off, and I got the bath ready. we’d already got him to sit in it and he fitted perfect everything was going to plan. The bath was run the scene was set, but little louie wasn’t having none of it. He refused to sit down and he was getting camera shy, I couldn’t believe it. We were all devastated. After calming him down we managed to sit him next to the bath and get some lovely shots in. Although it wasn’t exactly what they were after we did manage to work with what we could and get something similar and surprisingly they looked absolutely fabulous.

Towards the end of the shoot, my little man decided to make an appearance and louie took to him like they’d been friends for a life time, he was so sweet, so friendly towards Caleb it was amazing to watch. Ive loved having louie in the studio and his mam and bamp were such a delight, we had great fun, great stress and unbelievable Images.

What more could we have asked for.
