Cousin Fever

dsc_0024

On Friday the 24th of February I was asked to take photos of these two beautiful ladies. Rhianne is a good friend of ours and she asked me if I could do a shoot of her little girl, the night before she asked if her little niece could come along and I was more than happy to shoot the both of them.

I have known little holly for some years,  coming up to about 4-5 years now, Ive watched her grow into such a stunning young women, she’s absolutely glowing. On the shoot we talked about how well she was doing and the fact shell be going to high school this year I’m gobsmacked, still am to know she’s grown that much in such a short time.

Her little cousin is so adorable which came along with her on the shoot has an adorable attitude to match, she was full of life, full of laughter and jokes it was a pleasure shooting these two by themselves or together.

The amount of fun we had getting these to smile. I found when doing a shoot with kids involved its important to keep them laughing using things which they use on a day to day basis starting with selfies, then going on to getting them to loosen up, star jumps, spinning around just jumping. they make for great photos to.

Key words which they use on their normal photos to help (Smelly Socks) was there smiling beacon.

It was a fantastic day of Shooting and Id put these in front camera any day, thanks for making my afternoon ladies

Flower Power

dsc_0392

Id like to introduce you to this lovely lady Maya, a beautiful little princess and a little madam to match, I’ve known Maya’s mum Megan for awhile but we hadn’t really seen each other for some years but when I started this business; I put up an add offering free photos and she jumped to the chance. I’m glad she did, I got to catch up and finally meet this lovely lady.

When I opened the door she was so shy bless her and she point blank refused any photos we could offer her. She was more interested in watching paw patrol and blaze than she was standing in front of the camera, typical toddler behaviour. Unfortunately I was unable to get a sitter that day and Caleb came to the rescue, where ever I placed caleb Maya would follow very beneficial for me and her mam.

Although she was a bit of grump, a little shy. She was a blessing in front of the camera, it was great fun meeting her and seeing her mam, she’s welcome in my studio any day. she’s so adorable and loved every minute from planning, taking and editing these images.

Cake Smash Surprise

To celebrate my sons first birthday I decided to try something very popular I’m sure you’ve all heard about a Cake Smash Shoot, how people love them for their little ones and how much fun they are.

This is a new style for me, from the different outfit changes, to the important aspects of each shot, it was probably the most challenging but the most exciting. It was so fun to do and watch, I dont think we laughed this much in a long while.

dsc_0305

The first shoot was him dressed in normal clothes using the one lettering for this to express his age, he was throwing the lettering around, giggling away. loved every bit of it.

dsc_0496

For his second shoot, we placed him infront of his cake, he was so funny sticking his finger in there one at a time so innocent like he didnt want to make a mess, we encouraged him smash the cake up, he found it so funny, to end the shoot we placed him on top of the cake which gave me so fantastic shots and it looked amazing through my lens.

dsc_0952

For the last shoot, we decided to place him in the bath this gave me the chance to have fun with the camera, all he did was splash and laugh and try and catch bubbles with his month. I think he was more excited about the fact he could have a bath in the living room than he was about me taking the pictures. The perfect way to tidy up all that cake.

All in all I can now understand why people have these shoots done, he laughed so much, and he was so well behaved whenever we try to take pictures of him, hes normally a nightmare trying to escape off the studio and trys to climb up the lights but this time he stayed there and just played, which give me amazing images to show my family and friends and you guys of course.

Cheeky Chappy

dsc_0608

Do you have that family member who’s just adorable but is probably the most cheeky little monkey ever, well we do.

I’d like to introduce to this cheeky chappy, my little baby nephew Jayden James Hughes. he’s currently 2 but 3 this month and I can’t wait. His smile is to die for, his looks are amazing and he gonna be a right heart breaker when he grows old.

dsc_0543

During the shoot, I couldn’t get him to do much, he just refused. all he wanted to do was sit on the basket and smile, but looking over the photos, I actually got a lot of shoots I liked and we were very happy with the finishing touches.
He loved the pictures himself so I can’t argue with a two year old they know to much these days.

Meeting Baby Kodie

dsc_0291

I’d like to introduce you Kodie Peter Iveson, a gorgeous 3 week old, with his stunning tinted green eyes a smile to die for and personality that is slowly starting to shine through.  He was amazing in front of the camera.

Kodie was born on the 9th of January 2016 although he won’t be three weeks while your reading this his first photo shoot was taken then, he was as good as gold, so peaceful and loving how could you not fall in love with him.

A few days before he was born I had the pleasure of snapping his mam and dad in a fabulous maternity Bump shoot. They absolutely loved the images I did they came back to me to shoot his first shoot.

Kodie’s Birth Story

Demi was rushed into hospital on the 8th of January she has been leaking for a few days and they wanted to exam her. she arrived at the hospital thinking it was a routine check up and then we all received the news that she was being induced.

They induced her that night and labour came thick and thin, as she has been up all night and her screams were scaring the other ladies on the ward they offered her the pethidine, which helped her sleep, around 6 o’clock she woke up in a lot of pain, when they checked her over she was in utter shock when they told her she was 8cm and ready to go to the labour ward.

During the birth she wanted to beat everyone up, we laugh about it now but 45 minutes later little kodie was born and she just fell in love, being a mum myself I can understand the nerves and love you get when giving birth and she has been a fantastic mum since, as if she was born for this.

Celebrating the 6 Nations in Style

Since living in London, Rugby has become a massive event for me, with myself and my mate being the only Welsh nationality within our group we felt is was our duty to put on a show; every Welsh Game we had to be loudest to make up for the fact we couldn’t get home for it. The pubs loved us, our friends joined us and the booze would flow as we celebrated in style. Whether Wales Won or Lost.

Since moving back home, I have stuck to tradition by celebrating in style, first it became non alcoholic wine as I screamed at the TV, to photos of my little man. I love taking pictures of him in his welsh top to show my family and friends so I thought this year I would make it an even bigger event but offering Welsh / 6 Nations Mini Shoots for £10.

Engagement Dreams

Since being a little girl, I always knew that I wanted to grow up doing something I loved, but I never knew then what I know now. That dreams Can happen. Ive always done what I wanted and I’ve always beat the odds. I have had a passion for photography for sometime but never had the confidence to grow such an amazing business but over the last few weeks I have made my dreams come true and it all comes as a big thanks to this wonderful couple that this post is about.

A few weeks ago, I had done a shoot for Demi and Connor the feedback from the pictures brought me to this wonderful couple Zoe and Mark, they loved the pictures I had done so wanted me to shoot their wedding, but before deciding they asked for an engagement shoot. On Friday the 27th of January I met them at our local Park, we had so much fun, they never stopped laughing and it shows in the pictures. After the shoot I edited my Teaser bundle and sent over a few photos they loved them and so did everyone else. They had amazing feedback and likes over social media I had a Huge response, My Mails became loaded with questions about what I could do for other people. It’s so overwhelming of what I have achieved since.

Zoe and Marks Engagement Story

Zoe had been unlucky in love for sometime, to the point she was giving up on love. On one unusual night a friend had dragged her down to the ship Pub a local she wasn’t very fond of, in fact hated the place and she had put up a fight that night not to go but it was the night her whole life changed.

On this particular night she met the love of her life Mark, Zoe playing hard to get, Mark Plucked up the Will to approach, they ended up talking all night. There Lust grew as they texted each other every minute of every day until Zoe made the first move and asked him over for dinner from then on they became inseparable.

Over time they talked about getting married and Zoe and Mark picked out a ring together, When Mark knew it was the right time he asked Zoe’s father for permission in a very traditional way.

On Christmas Eve of 2016 he got down on one knee and asked Zoe to marry him she couldn’t be happier and didn’t hesitate to say Yes, they have been planning the wedding ever since.

Date Booked for April 8th 2017 and they have asked me to cover the wedding.

Cefn Mably Farm Park

Ladies and gents, photographers and precious mums,

Id like to introduce you to a place you will absolutely love, A small little farm out side of the cardiff area called Cefn Mably Farm Park.

dsc_0119

Our story

on the 24th of January 2016, we decided we wanted to take a small trip with our boy for his first birthday, we were undecided on where to go until one of our mates told us about this small farm, she had seen pictures of the place on social media and said that Caleb will love it. We had never heard of the place before and took the risk because everywhere we did want to go; was closed. We arrived at the place and our exceptions were answered it looked amazing and unbelievable cute from the outside and we could tell that we would love it.

We got inside sat down to some lunch and then started to walk around the park, they had horses, ponies, sheep, goats, pigs, ducks and anything else you could think of. The place was amazing. we had fun in the park, riding the trackers and the play area there was suited  to all ages and with £4 entry you’d be silly not to.

dsc_0261dsc_00761dsc_0147dsc_0229

The park is designed for families with toddlers to teens. The fun begins as you enter the soft play barn where children can let off steam whilst parents relax with a coffee and a slice of home made cake. Once the kids are worn out from feeding the animals and playing on the go-karts and real diggers, you can visit our farm shop and butchery to pick up a good old fashioned 28 day matured steak for your tea and some home made smoky bacon for your breakfast!
